1. PROSPECTUS :- Every student seeking admission to the college shall obtain a copy of the College Prospectus from the office on payment of Rs. 600/- at the counter. If the Prospectus is demanded by post, a crossed bank draft worth Rs. 650/- be sent in favour of the Principal, DSCW.

2. APPLICATION FORM :- Application for admission must be made on the prescribed form supplied free along with the prospectus.

3. INTERVIEW:- The students, seeking admission must present themselves on the days fixed for admission, Candidates would be interviewed by the Principal. The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any student.

4. STUDENTS MIGRATING FROM OTHER UNIVERSITIES / BOARDS :- The students who have passed the Lower examination of the University / Board other than Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar / Punjabi University, Patiala / Punjab School Education Board / Central Board of Secondary Education (School situated in Punjab) would be required to produce ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE from the Panjab University/Punjab School Education Board, as the case maybe, at the time of admission in this college. For this purpose, they should apply before hand to the University / Board on the prescribed application form along with the following documents :-

  • The detailed marks certificate of lower examination passed/issued by the University / Board.
  • The Degree / Certificate in Original issued by the University / Board.
  • Transfer Certificate from the previous institution.
  • The Migration Certificate issued by the previous University/Board.
  • Any other document/Certificate/information which is required for obtaining certificate.
  • Eligibility Fee of Rs. 100/-
    Note :- A student seeking Provisional Admission subject to production of Eligibility Certificate later on, will do so at her own risk and responsibility. The students are advised to produce the Eligibility Certificate as early as possible in their own interest. No refund of fee will be made if admission is not confirmed by the Board/ University.

5. The students Migrating from Guru Nanak Dev Uni. / Punjabi Uni. are required to produce following original documents at the time of admission.

  • The Degree / Certificate and the Detailed Marks Card of the lower examination passed by them,
  • The Migration Certificate issued by the University from which they are migrating.

6. A student migrating from any other University/Board is required to submit her original DMC, Migration Certificate, Original Compt. Earned and Compt. Clear Certificate within 15 days of her admission in this college, otherwise University will charge Rs. 1000/- as late fee.

7. A student seeking admission in +2 after passing +1 from any other school (affiliated with CBSE/ICSE) is required to submit School Leaving Certificate duly signed by the Dy. Secretary of the respective Board.

8. A student who has migrated from other Universities & has not passed Compulsory Punjabi in B.A./ B. Sc./B. Com. / B.C.A. Part I is required to appear in History & Culture of Punjab (as deficient subject) in Oct. 2013 or April 2014.

9. SCHEDULE CASTE / BACKWARD CLASS STUDENTS :- A student belonging to Schedule Caste or Backward Class will be required to attach with her admission form a certificate of her being so from a Magistrate, Member of Parliament, M.L.A. Pb., M.C. or Gazetted Officer with the seal of his court or the stamp of his office.

10. OUTSTANDING CANDIDATES :- Very outstanding Players, Speakers and Artists may be given some concession for the purpose of admission to College and Hostel. Certificate of merit from the Head of the institution last attended must be produced while seeking admission.

11. SEATS IN THE HOSTEL :- A separate admission form shall have to be filled up for a seat in the Hostel. Due to immense amount of rush for hostel seats, the candidates are advised to come personally for interview and admission on the very first day of admission to avoid disappointment. Admission to the hostel would be made on merit and on first come first served basis. Students seeking admission to the hostel will have to abide by all the rules and regulations of the hostel which have been given in the Resident students Handbook cum record Book.
