B.VOC (Food Processing and Preservation)
B.Voc. – Food Processing and Preservation is a six semesters & three year Degree program offering specialization in Fruit & Vegetables processing, Milk & dairy products and Agro products processing in the I, II & III year respectively with exit levels after each year such as Diploma /Advanced Diploma. Curriculum details would include a suitable mix of general education and skill development which are designed for specific job roles in Food Processing industry. The course includes content which equips the candidate with skill development component. Each year includes practical as well as theory courses which impart appropriate and relevant knowledge to the Food Processing Industry. The candidate will be exposed to project work and on-the-job training in the industry as well. Various visiting guest faculty from the Food Processing and Preservation Industry as well as the experienced faculty of the institute would be sharing their knowledge, information, experience, technology with students. Food processing industries lead to the highest employment giving employment indirectly to the almost lakhs of people.
It is expected that in the upcoming years, the total food production in India maybe double and there will be plenty opportunity for the graduates of food processing technicians. The most common areas of employment are Canning, Dairy and Food Processing, Packaging, Frozen Food /Refrigeration and Thermo-Processing. Some of the sub-sectors of the food processing industry are Fruit & Vegetables Processing, Milk & Milk Products, Soft Drinks and Grain processing. You can also employ in consumer product groups like confectionery, chocolates and cocoa products, Soya-based products, mineral water, high protein foods, soft beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic fruit beverages.

Summer Industrial Training of 4-6 weeks in a relevant Industry after 2nd Semester Examinations during summer break. Training report to be submitted by the student within one week of the start of 3rd Semester .Viva-Voce examination to be held within 3-weeks of the start of 3rd semester.
