Dean College Development,
Dev Samaj College for Women , Ferozepur City.
Dev Samaj College for Women (DSCW) is a ‘not for profit’ organization. The spirit of philanthropy has always prevailed as the same is deeply rooted in the very foundation of the institute. DSCW was established for a noble, humanitarian cause – to educate and emancipate women. I am exultant over the fact that nature has always kept providing DSCW with the opportunities to maintain the same. Our neoteric skill-based courses under the MHRD, promise a bright future for those students who come from humble backgrounds and cannot afford expensive professional education. The college has joined hands with the Indian Government to aim at an economically stable and skilled India by providing education that targets skill development for implementation into practical reality of the industry. Our mission is fully in congruence with the Government’s priorities for an “Educated and Skilled” India. With a pronounced state of the art infrastructure & exceedingly proficient and accomplished faculty, DSCW has ordained itself for the efficacious implementation of the propitious skill development courses. We intend to conduct skill trainings of international standards to lead the vision of a developed India.
Today, India is the youngest economy across the world and the most dynamic one too. It is notable that Skills Development has been recently, one of the predominant priorities of the Government of India. This can be understood in the light of the fact that India has a soaring percentile of youth population most of which is unskilled and unemployed. Since the MHRD recognizes the fact that they need to foster the unfathomable energy of our youth, it is committed to skill 500 million people by 2022 for the availability of the skilled workforce for the industry and service sectors to accelerate the economic growth and improve the quality of the products and services. We too target the same. It is our endeavor to go hand in hand with the Government’s extremely positive thought and produce experts that along with being self-reliant can also contribute towards the uplifting of the nation. To realize the same, Dev Samaj has been among the very firsts to avail the numerous proposed projects under the MHRD Skills Development Programme. We have also introduced skill based courses under the B.Voc. Programme that directly open up a platform via which the student is involved only with the learning requirements of the industry, she aims to employ herself into.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister during his address at the Red Fort had campaigned for “Make in India”. This Mission can only be fully realized if the high demand for the skilled manpower for diverse sectors of the Industry, for example, Beauty, Aesthetics, Software Development, Textile & Fashion Technology and Hospital Administration & Management is met with. This is our imminent mission. We at DSCW are highly focused to impart such Quality Skill development that none of the students has to ever depend on others for a living. We aim at producing well groomed, highly efficient, capable and confident students.
