From The Principal’s Desk
As Melody Beattie says, “Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Thus, I commence with a note of gratitude. My first gratitude is and will always be towards my source of inspiration, the august founder of Dev Samaj, Bhagwan Dev Atma.
Dr. Madhu Prashar
State & National Awardee.
Dev Samaj College for Women Ferozepur City
He has been the bedrock of DSCW and the steering force behind my relentless efforts. Thereon, I pay my gratitude to those unfathomable living sources of motivation around me, especially our esteemed chairman, DSCW and Secretary, Dev Samaj, Shriman Nirmal Singh Ji Dhillon. I thank him for giving me the opportunity and granting me the will to sustain all adversities with unflinching courage and determination. This journey would not have been possible without the unconditional support that has been abundantly rendered to me by him. Also unfailingly I hold my reverence towards Panjab University, Chandigarh and the University Grants Commission for their incessant support. I congratulate as well as express my gratitude to my entire-team that has shared my zeal to work, striving tirelessly towards the inimitable goals.
Words will always fall short for me to describe what I feel about the allegiance, determination and the commitment of each and every member of my team, who work assiduously with me to convoy DSCW to the vertex of accomplishment.
At this moment, when I look back, I experience an immense sense of gratification, harmony and solace that is overwhelming and humbling. The years flow before my eyes like a living reverie which encounter satisfaction of having those things there, that when brought to recollection, grant me a sense of pride of having been an inseparable part of the society, of having cultured and nurtured it, pride of having been able to contribute and serve, pride of having been able to make a difference and being able to live upto it, of having seen innumerable saplings flourish into strong rooted trees, seeing them grow each day, nurtured with the sunshine of knowledge and nourishment of ethics and values. DSCW was the most wonderful thing that happened to me. It gave me something in life that I could continuously strive for, a goal that became the
motto and motive of my life, a noble cause that I could ceaselessly pursue for Women Emancipation.
Today I have an enormous sense of satisfaction after reaching to the highest level of pinnacle of success which no one can think of reaching in one’s life, may it be my reputation, recognition, name, fame, power, success, prosperity and what not. If someone asks me what else I want to gain more in this life after reaching to the peak of glory and success, I will simply bow down before everyone and say thanks with folded hands.
I have always felt that education for women is extremely important. Not only does it help them procure a job but also helps them groom, and shape themselves into independent, confident and self-reliant individuals. I wish that this caravan forever treads the path of success, each time setting a new parameter for itself and forever being progressive in approach. It is my heartiest wish that every girl in this country be literate enough to understand her rights, and demands and strives for them. I envision India as a country where woman is not weak, rather she is proficient, deft and skilled enough to sustain herself as well as her dependents. I dream of an India where women take pride and are exultant over the fact of being women and tread fearlessly on the path of prosperity.
